Christmas on the boat

You might think I'm writing this post just to present you with the beautiful decorations I chose for the boat this year, and you're absolutely right! I don't have a lot to say this time around apart from Merry Christmas! I hope that whatever you get up to this year you have fun and do it with a glass of bubbly in your hand.

As a lot of you may know, there's not a lot of room on the boat for huge Christmas trees and hanging snowflakes off the ceiling....... but I did it anyway!

I crammed two packs of foam snowflakes (hanging from the ceiling to get in the way if you're tall enough), a 6ft Christmas tree (trimmed a couple of inches at the bottom), two nutcrackers either side of the TV (I love me a nutcracker), and a door hanging (I sat on this and broke it the minute I got it home) in the front room and called it a day. So enjoy the images, I guess?

A big thank you to my mum for her expertise bauble and snowflake placement on the day and to my dad for the homemade Christmas pomander which is currently hanging off the ceiling.

Down at the marina there was a disco, drinks and food. Did I have too much to drink and end up wandering around the boat at 3 o'clock in the morning with a handful of crackers? Yes. Did I forget I'd done this and woke up confused by the crumbs? Also yes! But, a fun night was had getting to chat with everyone.

I guess this is it for this year, I promise next year I might actually write something that is helpful and informative about living on a boat!
